In 1980, Garrett started his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a long and successful run in Las Vegas and across the nation before deciding to move from cover band frontman to a tribute artist dedicated to one of his musical idols.
In 1995, Garrett was personally hired by the legendary Paul Revere to portray Neil Diamond in the Honolulu production of “Legends in Concert”.
What was meant to be a limited run turned into a three-year success.
